TRAIN WORKING NOTES
- To and from Furzebrook -
When the Wych Farm oil and gas field came into production, a railway terminal was constructed at Furzebrook where the former Swanage branch terminated. During the period that EWS had the contract to haul oil and LPG, power was provided by class 37, 60 and 66 locomotives. Some workings with class 59 and 67 locos were also seen. Furzebrook terminal closed in 2005 from which time products were transported by pipeline.
A list of observations from 1997 to closure 2005 charts the workings.
