- Oil trains -
There were a variety trains that ran through Southampton that carried oil and derivative products, principally to and from Fawley refinery. However, there was also traffic to and from Hamble and Micheldever. Allied products included bitumen and LPG, the latter coming from Furzebrook terminal. Allocated locomotives included class 37, 60 and 66.
