This service carried parcels to and from Waterloo to the Royal Mail depot in Southampton Western Docks under headcode 96. Some vans were dropped off or collected from the siding adjacent to the Red Star parcels depot in Southampton station.
The train ran alternatively to the Eastern Docks under headcode 95.
