TRAIN  WORKING  NOTES

BRITISH  RAIL

- Newcastle to Poole -

Class 33

Class 47

This was a daily service between Newcastle and Poole, with a portion of the train serving Leeds during weekdays and summer Saturdays. There was no down service on Sundays. The train was usually hauled by a class 33 between Poole and Reading thereafter by a class 47. A class 47 also worked down to Poole on occasions. The stock of the down working was berthed at Bournemouth carriage sidings.
