Ascot station is situated at the junction of the lines to Aldershot and Reading South. The station is near
the famous Royal Ascot racecourse and has seen additional and varied traffic during race meetings
for which it kept an extra platform. An unusual feature of the station is the up line
which has a platform on both sides.
